The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a positive turnaround today, advancing by 34.46 points (1.26%) to close at 2,760.17, recovering from a previous session loss of 35.09 points. The benchmark index opened at 2,725.63, reached an intraday high of 2,763.27, and dipped to a low of 2,724.90 during the session.

Market activity remained robust, with total turnover amounting to Rs. 9.41 Arba, generated through 74,057 transactions involving 26,517,209 shares across 317 companies. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.9 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.70 Kharba. Butwal Power Company Limited (BPCL) topped the turnover chart, logging Rs. 52.3 Crores in trades and closing at Rs. 893.0 per share.

On the performance front, Super Madi Hydropower Limited (SMHL) emerged as the top gainer of the day, rising by 8.08%, whereas Bhagawati Hydropower Development Company Limited (BGWT) recorded the steepest loss, declining by 4.64%. Among sectoral indices, the Banking sub-index led the rally with a 1.81% gain, while the Others Index posted the smallest uptick at 0.52%.
